HELP MAKE CHRISTMAS BRIGHTER FOR LOCAL FAMILIES WITH HELP FOR HUNGER
Palmers Green residents are being encouraged to spread a little Christmas kindness by supporting Help for Hunger, a fantastic local charity helping families facing financial hardship this festive season.
Help for Hunger brings our community together to provide Christmas hampers filled with essential food, warm clothing and gifts for families who might otherwise struggle at Christmas.
With the cost of living continuing to put pressure on household budgets, Christmas can be a particularly difficult time for families already struggling to make ends meet.
This year, Help for Hunger is aiming to deliver more than 1,000 hampers to families across the borough, providing not just practical support but a little festive joy too.
Families are identified through local schools, social services and women's refuges, ensuring that help reaches those who need it most.
How you can help
There are several ways Palmers Green residents, businesses and community groups can get involved:
Sign up to create a Christmas hamper: Choose a family to support through the Help for Hunger website and put together a hamper tailored to their needs, including food, everyday essentials, warm clothing and gifts for children.
Make a donation: If you don't have time to put together a hamper, you can donate money instead. Every contribution helps, with £100 enough to provide a food hamper for a family of four.
Get your workplace, school or friends involved: Why not join forces to create a hamper, organise a collection or raise funds?
Volunteer your time: Help sort, pack and deliver hampers in the run-up to Christmas.
Help for Hunger is run entirely by volunteers, with the local community playing a vital role in making the appeal possible.
Let's show the power of the Palmers Green community
Palmers Green has a wonderful tradition of people coming together to support one another, and this is a brilliant opportunity to make a real difference to local families.
Whether you can put together a whole hamper, make a small donation or volunteer a few hours, every bit of support counts.
