The Street Art Project

A Multi site ‘ART TRAIL’ around palmers green high street and station

  • We set up a Station Partnership with Govia Thameslink to bring artwork and greenery to Palmers Green station.

Our first project within this partnership commissioned three pieces of new and unique art in the station, working with the Bread Collective, ATM and Alex McHallam. We have erected hand-built and planted signage on the station platform, painted a mural inspired by the wildlife of the New River and installed four stunning mosaics on the northbound platform.

  • In tandem with a local designer and artist, we commissioned a wall mural at the corner of Hazelwood Lane and Green Lanes that is a blossoming rainbow of colour and brings interest and delight to this overlooked wall.

  • We partnered with Palmers Greenery Community Cafe and local artist Laura McKendry to create a nature-inspired mural on the exterior wall of the Broomfield Park cafe.

  • In 2022 we were awarded a grant from Stories of Enfield to commission an art installation on the high street to celebrate the life and work of local poet Stevie Smith accompanied by workshops and events. The poetry ‘sculpture’, created by Ruth Hallgarten now sits proudly on the triangle and Stevie’s poetry and drawings can also be enjoyed in the newly created Devonshire Square.
